About the role
Interested to join a strongly growing and dynamic international insurance company? To reinforce its IT team, Monument Belgium is looking for an IT Quality Assurance / Tester for its Liège office. As a Quality Assurance/Tester, you are responsible for ensuring the quality of the software developed by the IT development team. You will be responsible for designing and running tests, reporting bugs, and working closely with the development team to ensure the quality of the application before it is deployed.
Responsibilities
  • Design, plan and execute validation tests of the application under development, including functional tests, performance tests, security tests, integration tests, regression tests, acceptance tests, etc. 
  • Identify, report and track bugs or anomalies detected during testing, and work with the development team to resolve them. 
  • Collaborate with business and IT team members to understand, document project testing requirements and technical specifications, in order to design suitable tests and participate in the clarification of the needs.  
  • Participate in the implementation of strategies and test plans for each project, taking into account risks and priorities. 
  • Track test results and provide regular followup reports, identifying recurring issues or trends. 
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the quality of the development process by proposing improvements, automations, training, etc. 
  • Ensure a technological watch to stay up to date on new methodologies, tools and trends in testing. 
Role Requirements
  • Have a Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. 
  • Professional experience in quality assurance, software testing or IT development. 
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology (Scrum) and DevOps practices. 
  • Mastery of bug testing and tracking tools  Skills in writing test scenarios and using automated testing tools (Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, etc.). 
  • Knowledge of common OO programming languages and development technologies (Java, Python, Delphi, etc.). 
  • Ability to work in a team, communicate effectively and proactively resolve issues. 
  • You are French-speaking with a good command of the other national language, and you can work fluently   in English.
