Group HR Business Partner

About the role
Monument Re is a Bermuda based Reinsurer and Consolidator with a proven track-record of successfully acquiring and operating portfolios or direct insurers in Europe, primarily those in run-off with a focus on annuity, guaranteed savings, or protection product lines. 
Reporting to the Group Head of HR Business Partnering, we are looking for a HR Business Partner to provide value driven HR support to drive the people plans across multiple Group Functional areas, while playing a key role in the delivery of Group HR objectives and offerings.  This is a 12m FTC position.
Responsibilities
  • This is a 12m FTC position.
  • Partner with key stakeholders within assigned Group business functions to understand the business goals for their area and develop HR plans that support the achievement of business objectives. 
  • Support the Group Head of HR Business Partnering with the implementation of HR strategic plans to ensure alignment across all Group functions, operating model changes and support with business plans. 
  • HR representative for Group function meetings and communication forums to drive employee engagement through initiatives such as culture building initiatives, recognition programs and development offerings. 
  • Contribute to Group HR programmes through collaboration with the wider Group HR team to implement initiatives and continuous improvements of HR offerings across the Group. 
  • Work closely with the HR Operations team to provide expert guidance and support to Managers and employees on compensation and benefits, HR policies, procedures, and best practices. 
  • Advise and support managers on all aspects of the employee experience from onboarding, reward planning, performance management, succession planning, employee relations and development strategies. 
  • Collaborate with the Group Talent Acquisition Business Partner to identify talent needs and support the hiring process through to onboarding. 
  • Work closely with the local HR teams on any plans relating to Group function employees based in their country. 
  • Analyse HR metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement and drive decision making.
Role Requirements
  • This role would suit a person who is a dynamic and collaborative team player, energetic and passionate with a positive can-do attitude with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Hold a HR qualification and demonstrate a track record of adding value to business units through the provision of HR business partnering support - three to five years’ experience. 
  • Experience of supporting teams based across multiple locations would be an advantage. 
  • Experience working in Financial Services would be an advantage.
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks and know when to escalate.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills and be able to demonstrate where you have made a visible impact on your previous businesses.
  • Confident at interacting with all employee levels and possess a high degree of integrity and discretion.
  • Strong organisational, influential and communication skills and the ability to prioritise work efficiently and effectively.
