About the role

The role is to help design, produce, deliver and explain investment data insights and reporting for distribution throughout the firm: Investments, Finance and Actuarial. Reporting to Head of Investment Reporting, we are looking for someone who is eager to expand their experience and knowledge of investments. Responsibilities

Data Visualisation & Reporting: Use data handling and presentation tools (including Microsoft Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint) to create visually compelling and enlightening reports, including charts, graphs, and dashboards that summarise complex investment data.
Monthly & Quarterly Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly and quarterly investment reports for senior stakeholders across the business demonstrating key performance indicators (KPIs) and business objectives.
Ad Hoc Reporting: Respond to ad hoc reporting and data presentation requests from stakeholders throughout the team, providing timely insights into specific investment queries or performance metrics.
Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., portfolio managers, risk teams and structuring teams) to understand data content, business requirements, and reporting needs. Ensure clear communication of findings and recommendations.
Data Analysis Across Asset Classes: Process and interpret data across various asset classes such as Fixed Income, Derivatives, Private Credit Funds, and other alternative investments. Ensure the accuracy and relevance of the data being reported.
Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes through automation or enhancements in data collection and visualisation techniques.

Role Requirements

Hold a Bachelors Degree or hold 1-2 years employment experience in a similar role.
Technical Proficiency: Understanding Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Power BI is highly desirable as is experience of database use.
Investment Knowledge: Prior experience in investments or insurance sectors would be beneficial. Understanding of key financial instruments like Fixed Income, Derivatives, and Private Credit Funds would be valuable.
Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to maintain high levels of accuracy in a broad selection of tasks with a strong focus on quality control in all deliverables.
Problem-Solving Attitude: A proactive "can-do" attitude with the ability to troubleshoot issues independently. Continuous improvement mindset.
Strong Organisational Skills: Able to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
Strong Communication Skills: Show the ability to present complex information clearly to a broad range of stakeholders.
Educational Background: A-level standard in Mathematics or Economics; a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or another quantitative field is advantageous.
