Solution/Application Architect - Liège - Belgium

Interested to join a strongly growing and dynamic international insurance company? To reinforce its IT team, Monument Belgium is looking for a Solution/Application Architect based in its Liège office. 

• Design efficient and scalable IT Applications to meet the needs of the company.
• Contribute to the definition of standards and practices for IT architecture
• Collaborate with all IT teams to implement technical solutions that meet business needs.
• Work with project managers and strategy leaders to ensure IT projects are aligned with overall business goals.
• Enrich the design capabilities and coach colleagues in Application Architecture domains.
• Plan the implementation of new IT solutions and ensure a smooth transition to these new technologies.
• Manage complex IT applications architecture issues and support their resolution.
• Strong understanding of the IT Infrastructure & Operations context to optimize applications designs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team.
• Demonstrate clear, concise and efficient communication skills. Able to explain IT architecture concepts in a clear and concise manner. 
• Evaluate emerging technologies and determine their relevance and applicability to solve computer problems.
• You are French-speaking, and you can work fluently in English.

• Have a Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience in application design & implementation.  Able to analyze user needs, identify requirements and design technical solutions that meet those needs.
• Down to earth, pragmatic and open mindset.
• Knowledge of insurance sector is required and optimally “Life insurance”.
• Excellent understanding of enterprise architecture principles and IT security best practices.
• TOGAF or equivalent methodology expertise.
• Mastering BPMN & modelling tools.
