GROUP PRODUCT ACTUARY

About the role
Monument is looking for a qualified actuary with previous product actuarial experience to join their Group Product Actuarial team. The role will report to the Senior Manager of Group Product Actuarial. 
 
This role requires knowledge of the European Insurance market and experience of a broad range of life insurance products. The role will also support wider Group strategic initiatives, projects and integrations. The role will offer the candidate significant exposure across all entities with the Group and be vital in supporting the success of the actuarial function.
Responsibilities
  • Product-focused due diligence and proposals for potential acquisitions of new blocks of business.
  • Support on the integration of new blocks of business into Monument with a particular focus on ensuring system migrations are completed accurately and efficiently and in a way that treats customers fairly.
  • Product Oversight and Governance to ensure that customers get fair value and do not suffer from poor outcomes, completing regular product reviews of each block of business in line with the Product Review Register.
  • Support to the Operations Teams on broad range of topics including: interpreting terms and conditions, remediations, changes to funds, complaints and any requirements for actuarial or complex calculations in relation to policies.
Role Requirements
  • Qualified Actuary (FIA or equivalent) with more than 3 years of relevant experience. 
  • A proven track record in life insurance product actuarial work.
  • A dynamic team player, who is energetic and passionate with a positive attitude with excellent communication and analytical skills who possesses a high degree of integrity and discretion;
  • Direct experience of policyholder administration migrations for life assurance business, especially in the unit linked space and involving the European cross-border market;
  • Strong understanding of life insurance products and operational intricacies, across unit-linked insurance and guaranteed products with exposure to annuity, and protection products;
  • Knowledge of the European insurance market; 
  • Ability to interact with technical and non-technical audiences at all levels, within and across organisational boundaries; 
  • Strong organisational, influential and communication skills.
